Bhavdiya Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Faizabad

Till date, seven pharmacy colleges have joined the ranks of self-financing degree colleges, and Bhavdiya Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (BIPSR), Faizabad (UP), is one of them, which was established in the year 2013. BIPSR is an associated university of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, offering PCI & AICTE-approved courses.

Established on two acres of land, this institute enrols 303 students and has a total number of 33 faculties. With two degrees in pharmacy, BIPSR offers diploma as well as undergraduate graduate programmes. Because of its core focus on pharmaceutical education, the institute may well be a standout for prospective pharmacists in the area.

BIPSR Faizabad is keen to offer all out to make students’ educational experience flowing and comfortable equipped with advanced instruments. The campus boasts of laboratories with all the facilities necessary in the current industries to enable students to acquire practical lessons in experiments.

There are four programmes being offered by BIPSR Faizabad under the discipline of pharmacy. They include one diploma programme (D. Pharma. ) and one undergraduate graduate programme (B. Pharma. ), which are having full-time specialisation. The course of D. Pharma has an intake capacity of 60 seats only for the academic year 2010-11, and B. Pharma has an intake capacity of 100 academic seats only for the session.

This has taken the total capacity of students’ intakes to one hundred and sixty students across all courses. The specialised pharmaceutical education offered at the institute brings out a corporate-focused curriculum that prepares the student for a professional career within the pharmacy business.
