Bharathi College of Education, Mandya which was established in the year 2007 is an affiliated college situated in Bharathinagar, K. M. Doddi, Maddur, Mandya-Karnataka. This co-education college, located in a plot area of 17 acres is recognized by NCTE, the National Council for Teacher Education. At the college level, the institution provides the programmes of Bachelor of Education (B.

Ed) with a total student enrolment of 145 and in faculties with a total teaching staff of 10 teachers. The vision of Bharathi College of Education is to build and maintain high standards of teacher education to ensure successful entrepreneurs in the field of education.

Some of these facilities include the following; The campus has provided hostels for the male and female students respectively in order to provide adequate accommodation to students who need it. A good library is a knowledge centre, and an IT facility is empowered to facilitate the latest trends in learning. In terms of the body, the college offers a gym and a facility for sports.

The Bharathi College of Education, Mandya also has offices of a specific nature for practical use during teaching and learning; these are; the Language Laboratory, LAC (Language Curriculum Activities) Laboratory, and the Psychology Laboratory all of which are essential in practical sessions for learners of education.

A canteen to feed the students and an auditorium to serve the multipurpose needs of the students are available. The college also provides transportation facilities from other places like Mandya, Mysuru, Maddur and Malavalli for the day scholars. At present, the Bharathi College of Education provides only one main course under its gamut and this is the Bachelor of Education or B. ED course.

This is a two-year full-time course and has the sanctioned strength of one hundred students. The B. Ed programme is aimed at producing teacher education professionals who will be colourful, competent, confident teacher educators with eligibility for a teaching profession.

The courses offered by this college reflect on different elements of pedagogy, educational psychology and teaching practices so that it creates educated being from disparate colleges of education for its students.
