BIMS Belagavi is a newly built autonomous medical college established in 2005 at Belgaum, Karnataka. It is a government-approved institute affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college offers several undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses for the students. BIMS Belgaum has a large campus covering an area of around 33 acres.
There are around 91 faculty members in the institute and the number of students is 553. The college offers around 7 courses in more than 20 specialisations. Several streams are offered in postgraduate courses such as MD and MS . There are four diploma courses that the college offers in the paramedical and one in Nursing.
BIMS Belgavi courses also include three Nursing courses in diploma, undergraduate ( MBBS ) and postgraduate. BIMS Belagavi diploma courses require the candidates to be 10+2 qualified in the relevant subjects. Candidates are required to qualify the NEET UG for the MBBS degree along with the 10+2 examination.
For the BIMS Belagavi admissions, the candidates of MD and MS courses are required to clear the NEET PG along with the MBBS bachelor's degree. Every year lots of students participate in BIMS Belagavi placements and job opportunities. In 2023, there were around 21 students who received placements through the college.
