Behali Degree College, Biswanath

Behali Degree College was established in 1989 and is an affiliated College located at Borgang, Biswanath, Assam. This is an undergraduate university that hosts various faculties in arts and science, together with intercalated degrees. With a sprawling campus of 9 acres, the college offers education to 940 students while it employs 41 committed teachers and faculty members.

Behali Degree College offers 14 courses under three degree programmes and offers specialisation in subjects like Assamese, Political Science, Economics, Education stream and sciences, etc. The essence of these facilities is Behali Degree College's library, which was created along with the college in 1989.

Built to accommodate more than thirteen thousand books, it is one of the most impressive college libraries in the Biswanath district that offers learners many opportunities for their academic activities. The college also has general and departmental-based laboratories to enable student to gain practical experience in their areas of specialisation.

The college is currently affiliated with Madhabdev University, Assam, having been formerly affiliated with Gauhati University until February 2024. Insofar as co-curricular activities are concerned, an auditorium has been provided for seminars, cultural activities, and college functions, among others.

There are establishments that show the intention of promoting sports among students in relation to fitness and spirit as a team. The college also has an active alumni body through which the former and current college students can easily associate themselves.

In addition, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell organises its activities with an aim of making available facilities for students and educational opportunities, among which is the placement service. The college offers 14full-timee programmes at the undergraduate level. The courses are available in BA and B. Sc degrees with various specialisations.
