Bapuji Polytechnic, Shabanur, a premier technical institute started in 1985, is situated in Davangere, Karnataka. This affiliated college, recognized by AICTE, provides several diploma courses in different branches of engineering. Located on a small plot of an area of 4. 125 acres, the institute has been registering a total enrolment of 865 students and 30 faculty members.

The Bapuji Polytechnic, being one of the pioneer technical institutions, is dedicated to imparting quality education by offering seven Diploma programmes in various disciplines, especially pertinent to the ever-changing industrial environment. Bapuji Polytechnic, established in 1985, is located in Shabanur, Davangere, Karnataka.

It is affiliated with the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institution offers full-time diploma programmes in various engineering disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Textile Technology, and Apparel Design & Fabric Technology.

The Bapuji Polytechnic boasts of its well-endowed facilities for the provision of academic and personal needs of students. The building that embodies knowledge or library, as it is, contains approximately 20000 technical textbooks and 10 technical magazines available for students to make use of in their proposed learning process.

Sports amenities are provided to try and increase physical activity, cooperation, and coordination, as well as teamwork, with the college fully endorsing students’ participation in district, state, and inter-college competitions. The students benefit from the well-equipped IT and a specialised Computer Science Laboratory that keeps them posted on any IT developments.

Bapuji Polytechnic has a total of seven full-time diploma programmes , and all of them are of three years duration.

A large number of engineering disciplines have been prepared at these programmes, which include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology & Apparel Manufacturing Engineering.
