Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Jammu is a state university established by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in 2002. The university provides courses at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. All these Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University(BGSBU) courses are accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Moreover, the university also holds the approval of the University Grants Commission(UGC), the Indian Nursing Council(INC), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Every course has a set BGSBU eligibility criteria that need to be met by the candidates. Admission to these courses is based on the scorecard of the BGSBU entrance examinations conducted by the university.
