Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Legal Studies, established in the year 2017, is one of the constituent colleges under the umbrella of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As accredited by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the institute offers specialised legal education to students who look to pursue professional careers in the law field.

This institution accommodates 11 teaching professionals to ensure a conducive and quality learning environment to all the students pursuing the courses under different law programmes. Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Legal Studies offers several facilities which improve the learning experience for the students.

There is a well-stocked library, which is a place of knowledge, where access to massive legal resources and literature is granted. The standouts, among others, are the Moot Courts which present a simulated courtroom setting wherein the students can get really practical experience. It will provide an arena where legal arguments are rehearsed.

Mock trials could be conducted when students become confident about making presentations in court before a judge. It is a platform between knowledge in theory and its exercise in practical life in a courtroom. Under academic programmes, Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Legal Studies offers a diverse range of law courses. There are three full-time programmes that are offered by the institute which includes BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and LLM. The courses BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) are integrated five years courses whereas LLM is the postgraduate two years course.

These are such programmes which have an intake capacity of 60 students respectively that would amount to 180 seats for all the programmes and courses. Such diversity would always give students the opportunity of selection into that programme that best suit his career aspiration in this realm of legal field.
