The Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi was established in 2008 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). Army College of Medical Sciences provides qualitative education to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Established in 2008, the Army College of Medical Sciences(ACMS) is a medical college based in New Delhi. The foundation stone for the institute was laid by the Union Defence Minister Mr George Fernandes in 2004 and was later inaugurated by the then Union Defence Minister Mr AK Antony on 5th January 2009. The institute is private and functions under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society.

It is also affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University New Delhi. ACMS is recognised by the Medical Council of India. It is ranked 29th in medical colleges. It has total student enrollments of about 500 and has 316 faculty members to support them. Delhi Ladli Scheme The candidates receive financial assistance of up to Rs 11000 per annum The candidate must be a girl belonging to the Delhi Domicile. Her parents or guardians must be a resident of the NCR for at least 3 years before birth.

The family income must not be more than Rs 1 lakh. Financial Assistance to Students of Educationally Backward Minority Students The selected candidates receive financial assistance of about Rs 600 per annum The candidate must belong to the minority communities (Muslims and Neo-Buddhists). The annual family income must be less than Rs 1 lakh.
