Anwarul Uloom College was established in 1953 and is one of the oldest and largest Muslim minority autonomous institutions in Telangana. The college functions under the Anwarul Uloom Educational Association, founded in 1909. AUC Hyderabad offers a wide range of full time undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, and postgraduate programmes in Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, and Computer Applications.

Anwarul Uloom College offers undergraduate courses such as BA (EPP, EHP, HPML), BSc (BZC, MPC, CSE, MECs, NZC, BT. M. C), BCom (General, Computer Applications, E-Commerce, Foreign Trade), BCom (Hons. ), BBA, BBM, and BCA. The newly introduced BSc (Honours) Biomedical Science is a four-year, hospital linked degree. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA in History, Economics, English; MSc .

in Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Microbiology; M. Com, MBA and MCA. The college’s intake capacity varies, with the MBA programme having approximately 300 seats, reflecting its strong focus on business education. AUC Hyderabad is affiliated with Osmania University and has been recognised by the UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(b).

It gained autonomous status in 1989 and has been accredited with an 'A+' grade by NAAC. Anwarul Uloom College offers programmes in both English and Urdu mediums.
