Amar Singh College Srinagar is one among the premier Institutions situated at Gogji Bagh Srinagar, District Jammu and Kashmir has its journey started in year 1942. This affiliated college that sprawls across a 35-acre of land has been in existence for over eight decades providing higher education to the community.

The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and provide 13 different courses in seven degree programmes and has sizable enrolment of 6211 students. Amar Singh College has well-qualified faculty of teachers and 68 talented teachers make a strong faculty team ensuring all round development of the students in arts, commerce and sciences stream.

It has very modern and classy facilities that are in place to complement the learning process in this college. The main academic resource is an up–to–date library with a stock of approximately 70 000 books, some of them being first editions. There are also some job oriented professional courses such as Bachelor of Computer Applications ( BCA ) as well as value added exclusive integrated master’s programmes in Economics, English, and Geography. The number of course intake which has been approved for these courses differs majority of the programmes offers Intake of 40 students per course while the BCA programme offers 60 seats for the course.
