Akal College of Nursing, Sirmour

The Akal College of Nursing, Sirmour, which came into existence in 2008, is indeed the finest Nursing college in Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. As a women only college, it is calendered to offer various nursing programmes starting from the basic undergraduate level to the master level. The college has got approval from the INC and has been nurturing the students in nursing education for the past fifteen years.

The college has a total of twelve professionals in the faculty and thus offers the corporate of a professional, positive feeling towards nursing education. The college provides six courses at two different levels of study with majors in a variety of aspect of nursing care and health administration.

It also has a facility for holding an auditorium for event, seminar and the like, canteen for preparing and serving nutritious meals and shops for buying small essential daily needs. Akal College of Nursing has the necessary programmes for students to pursue different fields they wish to be in their nursing careers. In the undergraduate level the college offers only the B.

Sc Nursing and in the postgraduate level, the college offers five courses out of which four are M. Sc Medical Surgical Nursing , M. Sc Child Health Nursing, M. Sc Obstetrics Gynecological Nursing and M. Sc Psychiatric Nursing, and M. Sc Community Health Nursing. All these courses are full-time programme, curriculum of which aimed to equip students with in-deep knowledge and hands on experience in the specialisations.

The B. Sc Nursing programme has an intake capacity of only 60 students to ensure that every student gets individual attention when they are learning M.
