The ACS medical college and hospital, Chennai, came in to existence from the year 2008 and is located at Velappanchavadi, Chennai one of the prominent medical college’s in the vicinity. This constituent college is NMC recognised and here we provide various medical courses. Today this college was developed with 244 members of faculty, offering superior education in various medical fields.

Currently, the institute is delivering 23 courses falling under 3 degrees which includes MBBS course, multiple postgraduate specialities, and courses for the different level medical professionals. ACS medical college and hospital has numerous facilities of the current generation for the development of the students’ academic life.

The Institutional washing facilities are good and neat, Hostel and Accommodation: The campus has the hostels for boys and girls and each of them offers clean hostels. A large central library measuring 800sqm has a collection of more than 2000 books relating to different medical allied health science and standard Indian and international journals.

ACS medical college and hospital has computerised its processes through centralised computing facilities and has a broadband connection of 16 MBPS Bilateral internet lab is available from 9 AM to 8 PM of the night both for day scholar and host. For healthcare services the institution provides a health centre with provision of first aid.

It also has adequate sporting facilities for physical healthiness of students while hygienically serving quality and nutritional meals in its ‘‘canteen’. The college also offers transport facilities for all students and all the staff of the college. ACS Medical College and Hospital has a wide array of full time medical programmes to offer.

The undergraduate programme is offered with an approved under MBBS course with 150 approved intake. At postgraduate level, exist different MD and MS courses, including MD General Medicine, MD Paediatrics, MS General Surgery , and MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology , and so on. Presently there are 23 courses being offered in the School that ranges from basic medical specialities.

All programmes are full time which will allow the focused and intensive medical education for the students. For the MBBS programme, there are admissions through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG) . Minimum percent in English = 50% and the sum of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology = 50% both in qualifying examination and competitive examination. As for OBC candidates, SC, ST: The minimum score is 40%.

MD and MS course registrations for postgraduate courses are through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET-PG). The college respects the provisions of the government on matters of reservation and admission is done on merit.
