Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College Cooch Behar, formerly known as Victoria College, was established on 15 June 1888 by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan. The college was later renamed in honour of its distinguished principal, Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal, who served from 1896 to 1913.

The college has been accredited with an 'A+' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is is affiliated with Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University . It has also been recognised as a "Centre of Excellence" by the University Grants Commission (UGC). ABNSC Cooch Behar offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Arts and Science disciplines.
